NITI AAYOG (DARPAN PORTAL REGISTRATION)
The DARPAN portal is an online registration platform opened up by NITI AAYOG. under this platform, NGOS and trusts must register to be eligible for government funding and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. in other words, when an NGO or trust wants to receive government grants or CSR support, it has to register on this portal first.
IS DARPAN REGISTRATION COMPULSORY?
To ensure that this training process is effective and that the entire operation of the DARPAN initiative is well protected, DARPAN registration would be mainly meant for post office staff and officials, who will be availing themselves of the various digital systems that this initiative offers. Thus, they would be trained properly and enabled to use the new technologies introduced.
1.Making Registration Compulsory for This Job Group:
However, it is worth mentioning that there is compulsory registration for post-office-related staff in rural areas, especially those who will be dealing directly with the public in providing service using these DARPAN facilities. This is because they will need certain specific tools and platforms that need credentials authenticated by means of registration.
2.Services Affected:
Consequently, although it is not necessary for individual citizens to register for DARPAN in their personal capacity, having registered post office staff will be critical to making sure that citizens have access to better postal services and government schemes that leverage this service.
3.Government Instructions:
The government has given instructions stressing the importance of carrying out DARPAN registration for service delivery in rural areas. Hence, although registration may not be mandatory for the whole populace being served, the same is vital for personnel on the ground working with the postal system.

To sum up, DARPAN registration is made compulsory because there must be training of the appointed under this new scheme for postal employees to ascertain that he or she will handle the work properly on this new system; no registration is however required from the side of the people served.
